Stoned Guitar - alt version

Here is the rare 7 inch single version of Black Sally. The album it was on originally was "Stoned Guitar" and the lp was released on Allied International in 1970. The single was on the Pye label and rel in 1971 and is a different mix to the lp version. Running time of single is 4:30. Lp version is 6:30. Single has 1 guitar solo by Billy TK, which runs about 1:31. Lp version has 2 solos by Billy and run 1:17 & 1:28. IMO, the single version is better and Billy seems to go completely crazy on the guitar but somehow it's controlled. I am sorry for the poor recording quality but it was not recorded directly/digitised with a computer program or with a proper converter. If you are into heavy psych, I'm sure you will enjoy it anyway.

"Ride My See-Saw" is a hit 1968 single by the English progressive rock band The Moody Blues. It was written by the band's bassist John Lodge, and was first released on the Moody Blues 1968 album In Search of the Lost Chord. It was the second of two singles from that album, the other being "Voices in the Sky." "Ride My See-Saw" is one of John Lodge's signature high-energy rock and roll songs, and is sometimes regarded as his most popular composition for the Moody Blues, along with "I'm Just a Singer (In a Rock and Roll Band)." On the album, "Ride My See-Saw" is the second track, and is preceded by a short spoken-word prelude named "Departure." "Departure," which was written by band member Graeme Edge, sets the concept of the "Lost Chord" referenced in the album's title. "Departure" begins with very a subtle mumbling recitation by Edge, but then gets louder and finally ends with hysterical laughter. The sound from a tambura played by Mike Pinder is also included underneath the poem. "Departure" is one of their few spoken-word interludes with the recitation done by Edge himself. The single was released later in October 1968, with Pinder's "A Simple Game" on the B-side. However, the opening laughter from "Departure" was removed for the single release. At most of the Moody Blues' concerts, "Ride My See-Saw" is the encore presentation at the end of the shows. When performed live, it is usually opened by a lengthy keyboard and drum duet as the band members make their way back out to the stage for the encore. "Gemini Dream" is a 1981 single by the progressive rock band The Moody Blues. It reached #12 in the U.S. charts. It was written jointly by the band's lead guitarist Justin Hayward and bassist John Lodge, both of whom won an ASCAP songwriting award for it. It was the first single released from their 1981 album Long Distance Voyager, which also included "Painted Smile," another track from the album, on the B-side. Two more songs from Long Distance Voyager, "The Voice" and "Talking Out of Turn", were subsequently released as singles after the album's release. "Gemini Dream" is also notable for the fact that it was the first Moody Blues single to feature Patrick Moraz on keyboards. Moraz had replaced the original keyboardist Mike Pinder, who left the band shortly after completion of their previous album Octave for personal reasons. Moraz was hired to take Pinder's place in time for the Moody Blues 1979 "Octave World Tour." After the tour, Moraz was then retained as a permanent member of the band, and he recorded with the Moody Blues up until 1991. "Gemini Dream" was also the first Moody Blues single released on Polydor Records, who had recently acquired Decca Records. Decca had been the Moody Blues previous record label. Artist: Muse Album: Origin of Symmetry Title: Hyper Music Track no.: 4 Album information: An album on which the band wanted to show their more soffisticated style, considered as more 'progressive rock-styled'. The vocals differ from those heard on their first album, Showbiz. Most of the songs have been composed while on tour promoting Showbiz. The album is said to be more 'riff-oriented' and a bit darker than the previous one. It's title has been inspired by the book Hyperspace by Michio Kaku. The book says that a future publication about the discovery of supersymmetry should be entitled "The Origin Of Symmetry", as an analogy to "On The Origin Of Spiecies" by Charles Darwin.
